Pet Relocation to Belgium

Pet Relocation

When relocating Dogs, Cats and Ferrets into Belgium from another E.U. member state they must first be micro-chipped then vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days (or 30 days if outside e.u. member state) but not more than 12 months prior to pet relocation to Belgium and must be accompanied by a veterinary certificate of good health signed, stamped and date in country of origin. Pets arriving from other E.U. member states can enter Belgium under the EU pet travel scheme using a “Pet Passport”. For pets arriving outside a none member E.U. state there are different rules and requirements for pet relocation. These are guidelines only and subject to change. Contact the Embassy of Belgium for current requirements.
