Pet Relocation to Cameroon


Bringing pets to Cameroon; All cats and dogs must first be micro-chipped first then vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days, but not more than one year, prior to entering the country. A export health certificate signed, stamped, and dated within 4 days by a licensed government veterinarian in country of origin which must accompany the rabies certificate. There is no quarantine imposed. African Gray parrots can be imported into Cameroon but must be accompanied by a CITES certificate and a veterinary export health certificate at country of origin. Heartworm medication is recommended for dogs as a precaution. Bring Flea and tick treatment with you as this can be a problem for dogs and cats during certain times of the year. We advice you not to negotiate any business where mobile phones are used as their contact, especially with ‘cash’ transactions which may be requested on a ‘up-front’ basis.
