Pet Relocation to Egypt

Pet Relocation; All cats and dogs must be micro-chipped first then vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days but not more than 12 months prior to entry into Egypt. Pets must also be accompanied with a export health certificate signed, stamped and date within 5 days by a licensed government veterinarian in country of origin.
For home quarantine you are required to keep the pet in your custody for the first 3 months.
All other pets (birds, invertebrates, tropical fish, reptiles, amphibian, mammals such as rodents and rabbits) are not subject to the same regulations in respect of the anti-rabies species but may have to meet other requirements with the limit on the number of pets and a veterinary export health certificate to accompany them in respect of other diseases.
These are guidelines only which are subject to change. Contact the Embassy of Egypt for current requirements about bringing pets into their country.
