Pet Relocation to Greece

Moving Pets to Greece; The European pet travel scheme requires all pets travelling between EU member states to have a Pet Passport. In order to obtain the EU Pet Passport, your pet must FIRST be micro-chipped then the next step is to get your pet vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days (30 days if pet is arriving outside a none EU member state), but not more than 12 months, prior to travelling to Greece. Pets coming into Greece from a none EU member state will need to be accompanied by rabies vaccination certificate to prove that this had been done. These pets must also be accompanied by a export health certificate signed, stamped and dated by a licensed government veterinarian in country of origin within 48 hours of export. These are guidelines only which are subject to change. Contact the Greek Embassy for current requirements for Pet Relocation.
