Pet Relocation to Grenada

Pet Relocation; First, all cats and dogs must be micro-chipped then vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days, but not more than 12 months, prior to entering Grenada, a certificate for this is required. Pets must also be accompanied by a export health certificate signed, stamped and dated by a licensed government veterinarian in country of origin within 48 hours of export. This certificate must show that the pet (where applicable) had been treated against internal parasites, ticks and fleas and for dogs heartworm.
For cat owners, it is strongly recommended that you keep your cat as a indoors pet because they face far more dangers than they might be used to with neglected dogs roaming freely throughout the day and night.
These are guidelines only which are subject to change. Contact the Embassy of Grenada for current requirements for bringing pets into Grenada.
