Pet Travel; All Pets must be identified by means of a microchip. No other form of identification is acceptable. The microchip used should comply with ISO Standard 11784 or Annex A to ISO standard 11785- otherwise the animal shall need to be exported with it’s own scanner attached to the top of the crate. All dogs, cats and ferrets must be accompanied by a Rabies Vaccination Certificate showing that the pet had been vaccinated at least 30 days, but not more than 6 months prior entering Honduras. This certificate must state the microchip number, the date of vaccination and the validity of the particular vaccination you obtain. – some are good for two years, others are only good for one, the vaccine must be an inactivated vaccine. 3. All Pets must be accompanied by a export health certificate signed, stamped and dated by a licensed government veterinarian in country of origin within 48 hours of export .
