Pet Relocation to Qatar


Bringing pets into Qatar; All pets require an import permit from the Ministry of Agriculture prior to the pet entering into the country. Pets must also be accompanied by a rabies vaccination certificate showing that the pet had been vaccinated at least 30 days, but not more than 12 months, before entering the country. Pets must also be accompanied by a export health certificate signed, stamped and dated within 4 days of travel by a licensed government veterinarian in the country of origin. The Import Permit, once obtained, is only valid for 14 days from the day of issue. All pets must be registered with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture’s Veterinary Centre on Al Matar Street. These are guidelines only which are subject to change.
