Pet Relocation to Sierra Leone


Bringing in pets to Sierra Leone; Pets may enter Sierra Leone with a international export health certificate signed, stamped and dated within 48 hours by a licensed government veterinarian in country of origin. Pets must be accompanied by a rabies vaccination certificate showing that the pet had been vaccinated at least 30 days, but not longer than 6 months, prior to entering Sierra Leone. Dogs must also be accompanied by a vaccination certificate showing that it had been vaccinated against distemper, parvovirus and hepatitis at least 30 days prior to entering the country. No quarantine period is required. Pet food, cat litter and pet toys are difficult to obtain on the local market; ship enough to last the entire tour or substitute with what is utilized on the local market. These are guidelines only.
